Privacy Policy
This policy covers the YayPoints app (for members), the YayPoints Business app (for merchants), and yaypoints.com.

1. What we collect
Members: name, email address, hashed password, your member code, date of birth, gender and city/country if you choose to provide them, profile photo if you upload one, stamp and redemption history, posts you like, app language and colour preference, and — if you enable notifications — a push notification token and device platform.
Merchants: store name and contact person, business email, hashed password, store address, phone and website if provided, store logo and post images you upload, your loyalty programme rules, stamp and redemption records issued by your store, posting-credit balance and purchase history, and a push token if enabled.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or payment card details. Scanning a member's code reveals only their display name, member code and their stamp count at that store.
2. Camera and photos
The Business app uses the camera only to scan a member's QR code at the counter. Images are not stored or transmitted — only the decoded member code is used. Photo library access is used only for images you deliberately choose to upload (profile photo, store logo, post images).
3. In-app purchases
Merchants can buy posting credits through the App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store your payment card details — Apple and Google process the payment. We receive and store only the store's transaction identifier, the product purchased and whether it was a test or production transaction, so that credits are granted once and refunds can be applied correctly.
4. Apple Wallet
If you add your Yay Code to Apple Wallet, the pass contains only your member code. No personal data is sent to Apple beyond what is contained in that pass.
5. How we use it
To operate the service: authenticating you, recording and displaying stamps and rewards, delivering merchant posts to member feeds, sending push notifications you have enabled, sending verification and password-reset emails, and granting purchased credits.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or share it with advertisers.
6. Sharing
Data is shared only as needed to run the service: merchants see the member information described above for members who use their store; members see merchant store names, posts and reward rules.

We also use third-party service providers to run the service — cloud hosting, email delivery, push notification delivery and app store purchase processing. They process data only on our instructions, and only as far as those functions require.
7. Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account is active.
You can delete your account from inside the app — open Profile (members) or Store (merchants) and choose Delete account. Deletion is confirmed by a code sent to your email address, and removes your cards, points, rewards, posts and activity records permanently.
You may also request deletion at cs@yaypoints.com; we will action the request within 30 days.
8. Security
Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing (argon2). All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access tokens are short-lived and revocable, and changing your password signs out all other devices.
9. Your rights
Under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) you may request access to or correction of your personal data via cs@yaypoints.com.
10. Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
Any changes to this policy will be posted at this URL with an updated date.

4. Apple 銀包
如你將 Yay Code 加入 Apple 銀包，該通行證只包含你的會員碼。除該通行證所載內容外， 我們不會向 Apple 傳送任何個人資料。
